Compare & contrast essays should consist of:
- A brief introduction about what you are going to write saying what are the two things you are going to compare (similarities) & contrast (differences) and not more than 3 or 4 sentences.
- The second paragraph in which you discuss similarities and write about it. There should be at least 3 or 4 similarities in at least 60 words.
- The third paragraph in which you discuss differences. Again there should be at least 3 or 4 differences in at least 60 words.
- The last conclusion in which you state briefly of some kind of preference for one over the other but not necessarily saying that one is better than the other. You can be positive about both things.
