Hurricanes & Tornadoes

The table compares two of the most destractive and dangerous of the nature's furies- the hurricanes and tornadoes. Hurricaces can be prepared for but the tornadoes strike with small warning and they can cause a lot of losses. Hurricanes are different from the tornadoes in many respects. They are different in speed of the wind. Where the hurricanes wind speed starts from 74 mph up 200 mph, the tornadoes speed starts from a small speed of 40 mph but it can reach 300 mph. The duration of the hurricanes is up to 1 week average where the tornadoes last for few minutes, sometimes up to a few hours and the wind storm average ranges from 100- 600 meters but some reach up to 1.5 km wide. Hurricanes can be predicted 2-3 days in advance for a wide area and 6-10 hours beforehand for a local area, while the tornadoes can be predicted only 20 minutes or less before they hit. Tornadoes usually start over the land but the hurricanes over warm oceans.
Overall, both are destructive and dangerous but the hurricanes duration is higher than the tornadoes. However, the tornadoes are considered as one of the nature's furies because they destroy whatever comes into their way.

Types of car

This table describes the different specifications of four types of car. It gives details of price, country of origin, engine capacity and fuel consumption.

Clearly, the most expensive of the four is the Volkswagen Golf. There is very little to choose between the other three. The German Volkswagen has the biggest engine at 1600cc. The Japanese Toyota Corolla and the American Ford Focus both have a capacity of 1400cc, with the Japanese Nissan Micra being the smallest in engine size with 1200cc. Not surprisingly, the smallest, the Micra, is the most economical in terms of fuel consumption and the Volkswagen the least so. Both the Ford and the Toyota are between the other two, and very similar in terms of fuel consumption.

As you'd expect, the biggest car, in terms of engine size, is the most expensive and uses most fuel, while the smallest, the Micra, is the cheapest in terms of both price and fuel costs.
