U.K Budget: where the money goes

The pie chart shows what the government in the U.K spent its £315 billion budget on in 1996. It is divided into ten different categories.
The highest percentage is spent on social security which is £100 billion. Health and personal social service is about £53 billion. Education, debt interest, defence and other expenditure range from £40 to £20 billion. Law and order, housing heritage and environment also range from £10 to £20 billion. The lowest amount that the government spent was the transport where they spent £9 billion.
The chart shows how the government is interested in social security and health and personal social service which, at £153 billion are almost half of the budget. Education, if it’s included, would account for more than half which is £191 billion. And the rest are not of much concern or in the main government priorities
